Area Airport - The Home of Turf Soaring School - The Arizona Soaring Association - Civil Air Patrol
Pleasant Valley Airport, located in beautiful northern Peoria, is the last of the grass roots airports which has three parallel runways, and is the only airport in the Valley with a crosswind runway for your comfort and safety.
Pleasant Valley Airport was created to provide a friendly atmosphere for all General Aviation Pilots flying single engine, light twins, helicopters and gliders. Smog free skies are not easy to find these days and that is one of the many reasons Pleasant Valley Airport is home to Turf Soaring School.
People from all over the world descend upon Pleasant Valley Airport for the annual summer glider competition. Pleasant Valley Airport is located at the intersection of Carefree Highway (SR74) and Lake Pleasant Parkway and is open to the public from 09:00 to 17:00 hrs (09:00am – 5:00pm daily).
Pleasant Valley Airport is also home to Civil Air Patrol Cadet Training Squadron Flight 400, the most active in the U.S.
